On October 22, Binh Tan District Police (HCMC) are investigating a case in which a group of people attacked two men, causing them to be hospitalized on Ho Van Long Street (Tan Tao Ward).
There are still many blood stains at the scene.
According to initial information, at more than 10:00 a.m. on October 22, Mr. S. (over 30 years old) was selling chicken and duck on Ho Van Long Street (old Ba Hom Market), Tan Tao Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City when a group of people carrying sticks suddenly rushed in and attacked him, causing him to collapse on the spot.
"I saw about ten people, carrying sticks, rush in and beat him. During the struggle, Mr. S. was slashed in the arm and then collapsed on the spot. Seeing the victim bleeding profusely, I was so scared that I fainted and didn't know anything else," said a witness to the incident.
According to local traders, when they saw Mr. S. being beaten by a group of people, Mr. S.'s relative who was selling goods nearby ran to stop them and was also attacked by the group with sticks.
The group then quickly left. Mr. S. and his injured relative were taken to the hospital by local people and the authorities were informed.
The day before, while trading, Mr. S. had a conflict with someone in the market that led to an argument and was invited by the authorities to resolve the matter.
On October 22, Mr. S. moved to a nearby area (switched places with relatives) to sell goods when he was attacked by a group of strangers.
Upon receiving the news, Binh Tan District Police (HCMC) arrived at the scene to take statements and extract cameras from surrounding houses to investigate and track down the group of people involved.
