On August 28, 450 10th grade students of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and their parents had an impressive experience day at the prestigious specialized school in Ho Chi Minh City before entering the new school year.
The festival took place with many exciting activities, making the 10th grade students go from one surprise to another.
The school has 15 clubs.
Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted has up to 25 clubs and projects divided into 4 blocks: Culture, Skills-Arts, Academics-Information, Social Sciences-Projects. After an impressive introduction, students experience the club spaces, from which they confidently register to join the clubs they are interested in.
Each club and project will have a booth to display and introduce activities and organize games for 10th grade students to experience.
Visiting the club booths at the fair, many students said that they still thought that going to a specialized school was just about studying. However, coming here today, they did not expect the school to have so many clubs, with diverse types and international scope. This made them quite impressed. “Participating in the 10th grade fair, I feel excited to be able to access more clubs and soon register for a club that suits my ability. The school's facilities are quite spacious and are being invested in a modern direction. I am impressed with the school's library which is designed in an open space,” Truc Vy, a 10th grade student, shared.

Mr. Pham Thanh Yen, Vice Principal of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, said that the festival aims to organize activities to welcome students, creating a joyful atmosphere for students before entering the new school year. At the same time, it also creates conditions for new students to experience and learn about the new learning environment, and explore their interests and passions.
The school highly values and values the development and activities of clubs and projects. At the same time, students are encouraged to actively participate in clubs so that they can work in teams, practice skills and develop their own talents. This is also an academic playground for students to solve many problems in real life. The project clubs here are very diverse, including international project clubs.
The project club at school not only involves students of the school but also students from other schools. "The club element in schools today is not only within the scope of a school, it is a playground for students with similar interests and abilities, helping them connect and develop" - Mr. Yen emphasized.
100% of students attend boarding school
In May 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee decided to establish two Tran Dai Nghia schools: Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, on the basis of reorganizing Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.
In particular, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted is located at Lot P2, 38.4-hectare resettlement area, An Khanh ward, Thu Duc city. According to teacher Pham Thanh Yen, recently some parents were worried about traveling because they were afraid of the distance. However, the school has been operating for more than 20 years, with a shuttle bus system throughout 21 districts and Thu Duc city, so parents do not need to worry. Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted is also a school that organizes 100% boarding for students, so student care is always guaranteed and convenient.
