On the morning of October 4, within the framework of the thematic session, with the majority of delegates in agreement, the 16th Hanoi People's Council passed a resolution regulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions that self-finance regular expenditures; high-quality public preschool and general education institutions in Hanoi for the 2024-2025 school year.
Of which, Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da has the highest tuition fee of 6.1 million VND/month.
The lowest tuition fee is 1.81 million VND/month, applied to grades 10 and 11 at Hoang Cau High School, and 1.97 million VND/month for grade 12. The remaining schools all charge tuition fees of over 2 million VND/month.

The Hanoi People's Council also stipulates that tuition fees for online learning are equal to 75% of tuition fees for in-person learning.
For months that apply both in-person and online learning methods, the tuition fee for that month will be applied based on the student's study time at that unit.
In case the study time in the form of direct learning is 14 days or more, the tuition fee will be collected according to the form of direct learning; in case the study time in the form of online learning is 14 days or more, the tuition fee will be collected according to the form of online learning (including the number of days off according to the provisions of law) and the corresponding tuition fee level has been prescribed.
