On the morning of September 14, Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, attended and presented gifts to disadvantaged children at Y Jut Primary School, Cu Jut District (Dak Nong) on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
This is a series of events under the program "Lanterns light up dreams" with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival with friends, happy to go to school" organized by the Central Youth Union.
During the journey "Lanterns light up dreams" in Dak Nong province, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers awarded 20 scholarships to support children going to school, 400 cartons of milk, and 250 gifts to children.

On the same morning, the Central Youth Union also held a ceremony to inaugurate a children's playground and present gifts to children at the Cu Jut District Medical Center. The total value of the gifts and projects presented in Cu Jut District was 218 million VND.
According to Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, the Mid-Autumn Festival for Children organized by the Central Youth Union has entered its 12th year and is the 4th year of the program "Lanterns light up dreams" with the desire to bring children in difficult circumstances a happy, warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
The program is also a sharing, bringing love to the children, giving them strength to stay in school, stay in class, prevent them from dropping out of school, and nurture their dreams to soon become reality.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the Central Youth Union plans to present 15,000 gifts to children in many provinces and cities with a total value of 4.5 billion VND. In addition, it will present 4 playgrounds for children: Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Lang Son, Cao Bang with a total value of 250 million VND; presenting 330 gifts, 1 million VND/gift.
In addition, to support children in 15 provinces and cities suffering from damage after Typhoon Yagi, the Central Youth Union mobilized and supported more than 4.5 billion VND, bringing the total number of gifts, scholarships, and support money to nearly 10.6 billion VND.

On the evening of September 13, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Khanh Hoa province coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union to organize the program "Full Moon Festival Night" - to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in a remote commune in Ninh Son commune (Ninh Hoa town).
At the festival, the children participated in fun activities, enjoyed the party and received gifts from the program.
In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 scholarships and gifts worth 1.5 million VND/scholarship to children in difficult circumstances who overcame difficulties to study well in Ninh Hoa town.
At the same time, 714 Mid-Autumn gifts worth 150,000 VND each were presented to local children. The funds for the gifts and scholarships were drawn from the mobilized resources of the Provincial Children's Support Fund.
Receiving a scholarship from the program, Duong Thi Kim Hoa - a student of class 2/2 at Ninh Son Primary School - expressed: "Today, my friends and I are very happy because we got to play games and watch the lion dance. I will bring this scholarship home to my mother to buy more school supplies for the school year."
