The art program "La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep - His reputation is not in vain" depicts the life, background, career and great contributions of the philosopher to his homeland and country.
On the evening of October 21, at the Cultural - Cinema Center of Ha Tinh province, a solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep. The program is one of the activities in a series of events celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep.
At the program, the audience will learn about the background, life and career of the celebrity through the documentary "La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep - Famous Scholar of Hong Lam Land".
The art program called “La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep - Fame is not false” is a combination of excerpts from folk plays, folk song suites and songs written about the homeland of Can Loc in particular and the homeland of Ha Tinh in general such as: Ve mien nhan kiet (folk song suite vi, giam); Ke si nui Bui Phong “Vua Quang Trung cau hien” (opera); Tay Son buoc chan hao kiet (song); Fame is not false (opera); Ha Tinh dap phoenix (song).
The art performances aim to praise the sacred land and the talented people who gave birth to the wise men; depict the virtues, talents, dedication and merits of La Son Phu Tu in helping the king and the country; and his great contributions to the Tay Son dynasty.
The program is directed by Meritorious Artist An Ninh, with music by musician Quoc Dung; with performances by singers Dang Thuat, Luong Nguyet Anh, Thanh Quy, and singers and actors from Ha Tinh Traditional Arts Theater.

La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep was born in 1723 in a family with a tradition of studiousness, many of whom passed exams and became famous in Mat Thiet village - Nguyet Ao commune, now Kim Song Truong commune - Can Loc district (Ha Tinh). He had many merits and made great contributions in assisting the king, helping the country, and building the Tay Son dynasty. He was a great personality with profound wisdom. La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep deserves to be a sage and teacher who made great contributions to Vietnamese culture and education in the late 18th century. The Nguyen Thiep temple relic in Kim Song Truong commune (Can Loc - Ha Tinh) and the tomb in Nam Kim commune (Nam Dan - Nghe An) were both ranked as national historical and cultural relics in 1994. |
