On the morning of April 28, helicopters carrying the Party and national flags flew over the stands. This was also the first time the image of female militia forces from the Northwest ethnic groups appeared in a parade and march at Dien Bien Stadium in preparation for the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

This time, there were 9 helicopters carrying the Party flag and the national flag.
According to the Plan to organize forces to participate in the parade and march in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), there will be an Air Force welcoming flight consisting of 12 helicopters (9 official, 2 reserve, 1 search and rescue) carrying the Party flag and the National flag flying over the stands.
Nine helicopters in charge of the official demonstration flight in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory were trained by officers and soldiers of Air Force Regiment 916.

More than 100 female militiamen from the Northwest have been selected and trained in formation and team formation at Infantry Battalion 1, Regiment 741 (Dien Bien Provincial Military Command).
These female militiamen represent the diverse ethnicities of the Northwest region. This is the first time this group has joined forces with other forces.
At the joint training session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense inspected and visited the forces participating in the joint training parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
