During the last two days of 2023, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City extended their operating hours to serve visitors, attracting 2,500 people.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism , on December 30th and 31st, the headquarters of the City People's Council and People's Committee welcomed approximately 2,500 visitors, the largest number ever recorded for a tour program. During this period, the site was open throughout the day and extended the tour time by 60 minutes in the afternoon, from 8:00 AM to 5:40 PM. Each tour was spaced 15 minutes apart and limited to a maximum of 40 visitors.

Visitors can view several parts of the building, such as the main lobby, the international reception room on the ground floor, the second floor, meeting room number 5, and the balcony, and receive explanations about the building's history, architectural highlights, artistic design, and functionality.
The program for visitors touring the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee is one of the activities the city is undertaking to introduce national historical sites, aiming to build an image of an open and friendly city. It commenced on April 30th and is planned to continue throughout 2024. In addition, the organizers will develop integrated programs for tourists to participate in all-inclusive tours, combining visits to many famous tourist attractions in the city such as Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, the City Post Office , Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ben Thanh Market.
Previously, during the April 30th holiday, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City opened its doors for the first time, welcoming nearly 1,500 visitors, and during the September 2nd holiday, it welcomed over 1,600 visitors. Along with buildings such as the Grand Opera House, the Post Office, and the People's Court, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is one of the remaining French architectural heritage sites in the city. In 2020, the building was recognized as a national-level architectural and artistic heritage site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In addition to tours of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee headquarters, the city is also organizing fireworks displays at two locations, a countdown festival, art programs, and sports competitions at various venues to welcome the new year 2024. Several new tourism products, such as the "Sleepless Saigon" experience tour on a double-decker bus running overnight or a double-decker river bus, have also been launched to serve tourists during the New Year holiday.
