(GLO)- The director of a company in Hai Duong used 61 illegal value-added tax invoices from 2 other businesses to account for input goods, declaring and increasing the amount of tax refunded, illegally profiting tens of billions of dong.
The Investigation Police Agency, Hai Duong Provincial Police has just decided to prosecute and execute an order to temporarily detain Pham Viet Hoa (born in 1987, residing in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi) - Director of Aluminum Vietnam Co., Ltd. (address at No. 37, Ward 4, Ninh Giang town, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province) for the crime of "Tax evasion".

Specifically, according to the initial investigation results of the Economic Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police), it was determined that from September 2019 to May 2020, Pham Viet Hoa, as the Director of Aluminum Vietnam Co., Ltd., used 61 illegal value-added tax invoices of 2 enterprises in Hanoi to account for input goods, declaring to increase the amount of tax refunded. After that, the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department issued a decision to refund value-added tax on these 61 invoices, causing a loss of tens of billions of VND to the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department.
The case is currently being further investigated and expanded by the Economic Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police).
