On the afternoon of November 27, the Secretary General of the National Assembly issued a press release on the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.

On the 27th working day of the session, the National Assembly worked under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

The National Assembly passed many laws and resolutions and discussed the draft Law on Employment (amended) and the Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended).

The National Assembly also heard the Government's report on continuing to invest in the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.

From 4:30 p.m., the National Assembly held a separate meeting on a number of issues. In particular, the National Assembly listened to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present a proposal requesting the National Assembly to approve the dismissal of the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.

After that, the National Assembly discussed in groups the proposal to approve the dismissal of the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.

Currently, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc is concurrently holding the position of Minister of Finance; Minister of Transport is Mr. Nguyen Van Thang.

On November 25, the 13th Party Central Committee met to review and give opinions on personnel work.

The Party Central Committee has given opinions on personnel for the Politburo to decide to introduce to the National Assembly for approval the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport; elect members of the Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Office.

Tomorrow (November 28), the National Assembly will continue to meet on personnel work.

In addition, the National Assembly discussed the draft Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended), the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations, and the draft resolution of the National Assembly on reducing value added tax.

The National Assembly will also vote to pass a resolution on piloting the handling of evidence and assets during the investigation, prosecution and trial of a number of criminal cases and the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended).
