On the afternoon of June 16, a representative of the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Yen District Police informed that the unit summoned a group of young people who were illegally racing on Ring Road 4 in the area.
Accordingly, implementing the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , the Traffic Police Department and the Director of Bac Giang Provincial Police on verifying the group of subjects who illegally raced, causing traffic safety and security and order in the area, the Investigation Police Agency of Viet Yen District Police conducted verification and summoned 6 related subjects to work.
Through the investigation, 3 subjects were identified: LNM (born in 1999, residing in Viet Yen district), NVT (born in 1997, residing in Hiep Hoa district), NVH (born in 1999, residing in Luc Nam district) and the remaining subjects who came to watch the race.
Subjects from different groups made appointments through social networking sites such as "BG Car Newspaper", "TuaRing Brothers"... to gather in Viet Yen district to race.
At the police station, LNM said he just went out and had fun so he joined the race.
"At that time, I saw people competing in pairs so I borrowed a car to participate. I raced in a format where two cars raced, competing in speed over a distance of about 100m, with a maximum speed of about 100km/h," LNM said.
NVH said that at the time of racing, H. did not realize that his behavior was wrong. However, when the authorities summoned him and informed him about the level of danger, H. knew that his behavior was dangerous to the community.
Currently, Viet Yen District Police are continuing to investigate, verify and handle the case according to regulations.
