Realizing the scale and seriousness of the case, Tay Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (C04), Ministry of Public Security, to establish a special project to fight and destroy it.

According to the initial investigation, after receiving drugs from Cambodia, the subjects divided the goods into packages of 1-5kg. Then, they hired shippers to transport them to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Binh Duong for consumption. Notably, Tien and Tuan also hired a number of other subjects to act as lookouts, carrying firearms throughout the drug transportation process.

However, all activities of this line were under the control of anti-drug detectives. After the monitoring process, the police force planned to solve the case and put an end to all criminal acts.

At 11:00 a.m. on November 6, more than 100 officers and soldiers from Tay Ninh Provincial Police, C04 and related professional units were mobilized, divided into 5 working groups to solve the case.

At the scene, the police caught Pham Van Tien and Dang Thanh Tuan red-handed while they were loading drugs from a car with license plate 70A-534.49 to house number 42, street number 9, alley 24, Hiep Long quarter, Hiep Tan ward, Hoa Thanh town, Tay Ninh province. The seized evidence included: 58kg of synthetic drugs, 1 gun and 11 bullets.

Continuing to expand the investigation, the task force detained 5 other subjects related to this network, including: Ngo Thi Kieu Xuan, Ho Hong Mai, Dang Thi Quyen, Nguyen Thi Kim Loan and Truong Thi Trang.

Initial investigation determined that from around July 2024, a subject in Cambodia used the Telegram application to communicate and hire Pham Van Tien and Dang Thanh Tuan to transport drugs from the border to the interior. The quantity transported each time ranged from 20kg to 40kg, with a salary of 800 USD/kg.

The drugs were transported across the border by a subject in Cambodia and gathered in an area in Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province. The goods were then handed over to Tien and Tuan to continue to be transported further inland.

The case is currently being further investigated by the authorities to handle the related subjects according to the provisions of the law. The success of the project once again affirms the determination of the Tay Ninh Provincial Police force in the fight against drug crimes, contributing to the protection of security, order and social safety.
