Exhibition of fine arts and photography works by authors awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Prize in 2022

The Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Literature and Arts are noble awards for exceptionally excellent works of high value in literature, arts, and ideological content; they are the recognition and evaluation of the Party, State, and People for artists and intellectuals who have made many contributions to the development of the country's literature and arts. Among the 128 authors and co-authors who were awarded or posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2022, the fine arts and photography community is honored and proud to have 26 authors awarded or posthumously awarded the Prize, of which 03 authors were awarded or posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and 23 authors were awarded or posthumously awarded the State Prize.

Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said: In order to introduce and honor the outstanding achievements in the artistic creation career of painters, sculptors, and photographers who have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnamese Literature and Arts in general and the fine arts and photography industry in particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions to organize the exhibition "Fine arts and photography works of authors awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize in 2022" at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The exhibition is a meaningful cultural and artistic activity to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. At the same time, the exhibition is also an opportunity for the public to access, learn about, and directly enjoy works of high aesthetic value, with profound content and ideas.

The exhibition displays 47 works (26 fine art works, 21 works, groups of photographic works) of 26 authors who were awarded or posthumously awarded the Prize. 03 authors were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize (Painter Bui Trang Chuoc, Photographers: Vo Nguyen Nhan, Chu Chi Thanh), 23 authors were awarded the State Prize (Painters: Nguyen Van Chung, Tran Dong Luong, Nguyen Tai Luong, Nguyen Minh My, Nguyen Van Giao, Hoang Sung, Dinh Gia Thang, Trinh Hoang Tan; Artisan Nguyen Dang San and Photographers: Nguyen A, Nguyen Xuan At, Nguyen Dang, Nguyen Huu Loc, Lam Hoang Thanh Liem, Ngo Minh Nhat, Nguyen Hoang Nam, Tran Van Giac, Luong Hue Quan, Ho Sy So, Dinh Quang Thanh, Pham Van Thinh, Tran Van Tuan, Le Van).

The works awarded the Prize are typical works in the creative artistic career of the authors that are highly appreciated by the Professional Council and recognized by the State. These are fine art and photographic works with high artistic value, profound ideological content, truly reflecting the historical periods of the nation.

The exhibition is open until September 8, 2024./.
