On December 10, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Military Region 7 Command opened a thematic exhibition "Heroic Army - Strong National Defense", introducing nearly 400 images, artifacts, and documents about the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army.
This is one of the important events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
The exhibition takes place from December 10 to December 31, introducing nearly 400 images, artifacts, and documents introducing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army through 80 years of building, fighting, and growing.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7, emphasized that with 4 parts of display content, the exhibition with images, artifacts and documents about The Vietnam People's Army in the general uprising to seize power and the resistance war against the French colonialists ; the resistance war against the US to save the country ; fighting to protect the Fatherland's borders and fulfilling international obligations . Finally, there are images, artifacts, and documents about the process of building a strong national defense to meet the requirements of protecting the Fatherland.
In addition, the exhibition also introduces images and artifacts of the armed forces of Military Region 7, a bright spot of the entire army in building a national defense to protect the Fatherland in the new situation.
According to Colonel Nguyen Nhu Truc, the exhibition will contribute to propaganda, education of traditions for cadres, soldiers, people, especially about the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. From there, Arouse national pride and self-esteem, educate officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 7.
