On the afternoon of March 1, in Buon Ma Thuot city, the Dak Lak Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard Command and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening of a documentary-current photo exhibition, with the theme "Vietnam Border Guard - 65 years of building, fighting and growing up". This is one of the activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2024), the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024). Attending the exhibition were comrade Pham Minh Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and a number of departments, branches, sectors, organizations of the province, units of the provincial armed forces, along with a large number of cadres, people and students in the area.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, writer Nie Thanh Mai said: During the 65-year journey of building, fighting and growing, the difficulties, hardships, heroic fighting and sacrifice, glorious feats of arms, the close relationship with the people as well as the daily life of officers and soldiers of units in the Border Guard have been vividly portrayed in the fields of literature and art of the nation, including photography. The Exhibition Organizing Committee has selected 120 most typical and concise photos, reflecting the 65-year process of building, fighting, winning and growing of the Vietnam Border Guard in general and the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard in particular to introduce to officers, party members, people of all walks of life in the province and tourists.

Through the exhibition, it helps cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province to learn and research the history and glorious traditions of the nation, the traditions of the Border Guard, the love for the homeland and country, the indomitable will, the willingness to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism of generations of cadres and soldiers of the heroic Vietnam Border Guard. The exhibition with a photo collection consists of 5 parts, reflecting 5 important stages of the army and the nation. Part 1: The attention of the Party, the State, and President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnam People's Army; Part 2: The Vietnam People's Army was born with the entire people to carry out the successful August Revolution of 1945; Part 3: The Vietnam People's Army in the resistance war against the French colonialists (1945 - 1954); Part 4: The Vietnam People's Army in the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975) and Part 5: The Vietnam People's Army in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnam Fatherland from 1975 to present.

The photo exhibition "Vietnam Border Guard - 65 years of building, fighting and growing up" continues to affirm the glorious feats in the history of the struggle for national liberation, affirming the requirements and tasks of protecting national border security and sovereignty in the new situation of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people; at the same time, sending a message: The desire for peace, love for the country, the spirit of readiness to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people are always the eternal values of generations of Border Guard officers and soldiers; at the same time, posing the responsibility of today's generation to propagate, educate and foster revolutionary ideals for future generations, determined to build a rich and strong homeland, a prosperous and modern country, to always be worthy of the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations of fathers and brothers. The exhibition takes place from now until April 15, 2024.
