Zebra Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: ZBRA), a leading digital solutions provider that helps businesses intelligently connect data, assets, and people, today released the results of its 2023 Global Warehouse Industry Study, which confirmed that 58% of warehouse decision-makers plan to deploy radio frequency identification (RFID) technology by 2028 to increase inventory visibility and reduce out-of-stocks.

The study also predicts that over the next five years, the majority of industry managers plan to deploy fixed, passive, or handheld RFID readers and fixed industrial scanning solutions that can better track assets, workers, and goods in warehouse environments. 73% of decision makers globally have or will accelerate modernization projects, with a similar number in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at 69%. This will help them manage one of the top warehouse challenges: returns, according to nearly half of managers surveyed (47% globally, 40% in APAC) – a 5 percentage point increase from the previous year in APAC.

Warehouse managers are also empowering frontline workers by automating their warehouses to optimize operations and increase visibility into inventory, Zebra notes.

Recently, Nhat Tin Logistics, a Vietnamese express delivery company, has put Zebra's barcode scanning solution into use at all its branches to enhance the traceability of received parcels, meeting the growing demand for delivery goods due to high consumer expectations in the on-demand economy.

In response to the needs and demands of businesses, Zebra has launched Zebra's comprehensive solution portfolio to help the company always be a pioneer in supporting Vietnam's digital transformation process, by providing tools such as MC94xx inventory machines, TC53/TC58 inventory machines, ET60/ET65 industrial tablets, ZD421 desktop barcode printers, ZQ600 Plus Series mobile barcode printers, VisibilityIQ Foresight software, WS50 RFID wearable inventory machines and ZT231 RFID industrial printers.

Through these innovative products, Zebra aims to support the enhancement of the ability to handle complex problems of the modern warehouse industry, helping businesses in Vietnam improve efficiency and achieve higher results.

Zebra’s research also predicts that by 2024, seven in 10 decision makers (69% globally, 70% in Asia Pacific) have or are planning to automate workflows to support warehouse staff and free them up for higher-value, customer-focused tasks. More than 50% of managers believe that automation will increase worker efficiency and productivity by reducing manual picking, order errors, and turnaround times. Meanwhile, about eight in 10 warehouse workers globally (81%) and in Asia Pacific (78%) agree that greater use of technology and automation will help them meet or exceed productivity goals.
