Deploying a political and ideological activity on the content of the work "Building and developing a comprehensive and modern Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy imbued with the identity of "Vietnamese Bamboo"" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

The conference was held in person and online at 175 locations with nearly 21,000 officials and party members in the province attending.

Attending the conference at the Provincial Conference Center were comrades: Pham Thanh Binh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Attending the conference were comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; heads and deputy heads of provincial agencies and units; and provincial reporters.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nong Thi Bich Hue affirmed that the conference aimed to help cadres and party members deeply understand the core content of the work "Building and developing a comprehensive and modern Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy imbued with the identity of "Vietnamese Bamboo"" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, creating unity in the political system on the Party's foreign policy and guidelines. From there, leadership, direction and implementation will achieve the highest results.

The work “Building and developing a comprehensive and modern Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy imbued with the identity of “Vietnamese bamboo”” by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has affirmed the development of the Party’s theoretical thinking on foreign affairs in the process of national renewal based on the inheritance and promotion of national traditions, Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic ideology and in accordance with the laws of development and major trends in the movement of international relations. In particular, the work clarifies the “foreign identity of “Vietnamese bamboo”: solid roots, strong trunk, flexible branches”, imbued with the soul, character and spirit of the Vietnamese people. Besides, it affirms that the Party’s leadership is the most important factor in promoting the effectiveness and comprehensive strength of foreign affairs. Based on the assessment of outstanding results and achievements in each period, it is affirmed that foreign affairs have made a very important contribution to the great achievements of historical significance of the country.

The work affirms Vietnam's position in bilateral and multilateral cooperation with partners in all fields, for independence, autonomy, peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

The work is a valuable research document on Vietnam's foreign policy and diplomacy, systematizing and generalizing the policies, principles, guiding thoughts, mottos and methods of implementing the Party's foreign policy in nearly 40 years of renovation. The content of the work is the distillation and synthesis of profound theoretical research and rich revolutionary practical activities of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, contributing to the development of the Party's theoretical thinking on foreign affairs and international integration. The work has clearly pointed out the goals, tasks and orientations for foreign affairs in the new situation; effectively contributing to the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting the distorted arguments and false information of hostile forces and political opportunists aiming to sabotage Vietnam's foreign relations and image in the international arena.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that Party committees at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines, policies, foreign affairs, diplomacy, and international integration; Resolution No. 34 of the Politburo on a number of major orientations and policies to implement the foreign affairs policy of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Conclusion No. 57 of the Politburo on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation. He requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, political and social organizations, agencies, and units to organize extensive study and propaganda to cadres, party members, and people in the province about the content and core values of the Work.
