Three leaders of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) were awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism" medal for their contributions to the development of Vietnamese journalism, including Mr. Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee and General Director of VOV, Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy General Director of VOV, and Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of VOV.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh presented flowers on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding of Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2023).

Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of VTV - Do Tien Sy shared that in the past month, the General Director was honored to receive two joys. First, the Party Central Committee awarded the 30-year Party membership badge. Today, I was moved and emotional when receiving the commemorative medal and comrade Le Quoc Minh personally presented it.

General Director Do Tien Sy affirmed that he will work with the staff, reporters, editors, technicians and artists of the station to promote the glorious 78-year tradition of the Voice of Vietnam, unite creatively, take advantage of opportunities, overcome challenges to create breakthrough momentum, affirm the position of the Voice of Vietnam as a modern, strong and comprehensive multimedia key press agency.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh presented a commemorative medal to VOV General Director Do Tien Sy.

“This is also the trust and love that the Central Propaganda Department, the Vietnam Journalists Association and our colleagues have bestowed upon us. We will strive to fulfill our duties well together with the comrades in the Party Committee, the station’s leadership, the party members, reporters and all those working at VTV to be worthy of the glorious tradition of VTV, worthy of the position of VTV – a multi-form, multi-media national press agency” , General Director Do Tien Sy expressed.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh congratulated the Voice of Vietnam on the occasion of its 78th anniversary and affirmed that since its establishment, VOV has always played the role of the country's leading press agency, a reliable and close bridge between the Party and the State and the people. VOV is also a pioneer in orienting public opinion and creating consensus among the people. Currently, VOV is also strongly transforming digitally in its operations and distributing multi-platform content, to reach a large audience both online and traditional audiences.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association spoke at the ceremony.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh hopes that VOV's veteran and experienced journalism team will closely coordinate with the Vietnam Journalists Association in the coming time in training and improving the professional skills of members of the Vietnam Journalists Association; as well as actively participate in the association's activities.

“In just two years, VOV will enter the important milestone of 80 years. Under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department, in March 2024, the first National Press Festival is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, with activities very different from previous Press Festivals. We hope that VOV will make many contributions to the press festival, not only in the field of radio but also in other activities of the press festival as well as all activities of the press from now until the end of the year and towards the milestone of 80 years of establishment,” said comrade Le Quoc Minh.

Three leaders of VTV were awarded the "For the cause of Vietnamese journalism" medal for their contributions to the development of Vietnamese journalism.

According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, VTV and other major press agencies are leading units that not only change themselves but also support other press agencies so that all can innovate and digitally transform for development.
