101 poor students in Quang Tri received scholarships from the "Tiep suc den truong" program on the morning of September 28 in Dong Ha City. The ceremony was organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union. The total cost of nearly 2 billion VND was sponsored by the "Nghia tinh Quang Tri" Club and Binh Dien - Quang Tri Joint Stock Company.
Each scholarship is not only an initial support but also a trust that many kind hearts give to new students.

Mrs. Tran Thi Phuong (49 years old, living in Cam Lo district) could not hide her joy when she and her daughter Nguyen Thi Cam Tu came to receive the scholarship. Tu's father used to be a construction worker but died nine years ago in a work accident. Now that her daughter is studying at Phu Xuan University (Thua Thien Hue), receiving a scholarship to support her, "I feel as happy as if I was the one receiving the support myself."
The mother took care of her three children's education by herself, doing whatever jobs she could find. When she received her children's admission notice, she saw the amount of money she needed to pay, 15 million VND, and all she could do was cry. She ran around the neighborhood and borrowed enough money for her children to enroll in school, but she still didn't know what she would do to pay it back.
"Although we are not blood relatives, the people from Tuoi Tre newspaper and the "Nghia Tinh Quang Tri" Club gave my child a scholarship of 15 million VND, which is like taking care of my child on my behalf. I don't know how to express this gratitude other than thank you" - Ms. Phuong expressed.
The award ceremony was like a spiritual support for new students. Stories of new students with special difficulties were told, and many people present felt like they could see themselves in them. Each story seemed to motivate their friends with the commitment to overcome difficulties together.
"Up until now, I have come to know that many people are suffering more than me and everyone finds their own way to overcome their fate. To me, this is more meaningful than the scholarship I received," Ha Vi - a new student at the University of Foreign Languages (Hue University) - confided.

Tuoi Tre Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu said that starting with 33 new students in difficult circumstances from Quang Tri, the "Quang Tri Affection" Club has so far supported 2,787 students with over 27 billion VND. Not stopping at material support, the club has also sent love and invaluable encouragement to help students confidently enter university.

This is also an opportunity for us to give you the belief that society always has kind arms to support and always has expectations for you. Awarding scholarships today, I look forward to seeing the new students in the future with confident, bright smiles" - Mr. Chu said.
Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam said that the presence of Tuoi Tre newspaper, "Nghia Tinh Quang Tri" Club and sponsors over the years has lit a ray of hope for many poor families and new students to overcome difficulties and study well. "Giving support is also giving more opportunities, sending wishes for you to overcome difficulties so that one day very soon you will become useful people for society" - Mr. Nam said.
Mr. Dong Hoang Hien - Director of Binh Dien - Quang Tri Joint Stock Company, Chairman of the "Quang Tri Affection" Club - said that each scholarship is the affection, trust, and hope that the club members send to the new students. And the scholarship is only a small initial support, there will be many difficulties ahead and each difficulty is a valuable lesson.

The result of a love story without beginning or end that the mother chose because she wanted a child to accompany her in old age.
Thuong worked as a cafe assistant while in high school so she wouldn't have to drop out of school. After enrolling in Hue, she started working part-time on the third day to earn money to take care of herself. "My mother raised me with her crippled hands and feet, so I try even harder to study to repay her," Thuong cried.
That story moved Mr. Dong Hoang Hien and he decided that the company would sponsor Thuong until she graduated. "We want to give a little love to Tinh Thuong on her university journey," said Mr. Hien.
