On the morning of January 4, Tien Phong newspaper and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund awarded 95 "Supporting Valedictorians" scholarships in 2024.
Of these, 90 are reserved for the top students in 2024 and 5 students who received scholarships in previous years and maintained good academic performance will continue to receive scholarships on this occasion.
In 2024 - the 9th year of organizing the scholarship, the organizing committee received more than 350 student applications from universities and academies across the country. The organizing committee selected 30 students from the Northern region and 60 students from the Southern region to award scholarships.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong - editor-in-chief of Tien Phong newspaper, director of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund - said that each student's story is a song about the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the desire to reach beautiful dreams.
"You have taught us that poverty is not a barrier, but rather an asset and a motivation to be more determined in life. You have inspired us about the value of education and talent," emphasized journalist Phung Cong Suong.
Over the past 9 years, the "Supporting Valedictorians" program has helped nearly 900 students across the country achieve excellent results in university entrance exams, with nearly 9 billion VND and many useful items.
