Colonel Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper and co-head of the contest's organizing committee, said that the contest, launched from October 2023 to June 30, 2024, has received the response of a large number of officers, employees, soldiers, workers of agencies, units, technical facilities and people in the stationed areas. Agencies and units throughout the army have stepped up propaganda work about the contest. Many units are interested in directing the implementation to ensure both the quantity and quality of entries.
In particular, in order for the contest to achieve its intended purpose and requirements, the Organizing Committee of the Contest organized a working group of 12 reporters from press agencies inside and outside the Army to infiltrate 10 units in the TCKT to learn and write articles for the contest. That affirmed the interest of many writers in the officers, employees and soldiers of the Army's technical sector.
The works have reflected diversely, deeply, vividly and authentically the technical work activities in the entire army; discovered, honored and promoted typical collectives and individuals in performing technical work; encouraged and cheered on officers, employees, soldiers and workers in the General Department and the Army Technical Sector to excellently complete all assigned tasks.
The Organizing Committee selected 30 best works to award prizes including: 1 A prize; 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 24 consolation prizes; commended 4 groups with many works participating in the contest and 2 individuals with positive contributions to the Contest.
"Through this contest, we also believe that many collaborators, informants, and officers at the grassroots units will know what it means to write articles and what it means to write about the military engineering industry. We also hope that after this contest, there will be more authors and more articles about the military engineering industry sent to the People's Army Newspaper in particular and to press agencies throughout the army in general. The purpose is to reflect more and more widely and comprehensively on the activities of the military engineering industry," Colonel Tran Anh Tuan shared.
