(CLO) On the afternoon of December 25, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security held a ceremony to summarize and award the 11th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) and the Political Writing Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2024 in the People's Public Security.
In response to the 11th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) launched by the Central Organizing Committee and the 4th Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Public Security Party Committee has a plan to deploy in the People's Public Security force.
After nearly 8 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award received 800 entries from 68 police units and localities; some local police have entries submitted through provincial and municipal Party Committees.

At the Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation: Local Police, the Association of Former People's Police received 4,378 works, selecting 991 works to send to the Standing Committee of the Contest.
This year, the entries were carefully invested in, covering aspects of Party building and force building. Many new and topical issues were focused on, such as the results of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on promoting the building of the People's Public Security force; the results of implementing the regulations on setting examples; organizational and personnel work; preventing and combating corruption, negativity, and waste; positive effects from the policy of arranging regular commune police, etc.
The highlight of this year's award is the works reflecting the guiding views of General Secretary To Lam on building the political system; including the article "Refined - Compact - Strong - Effective - Efficient - Effective" with high quality investment.
Some professional units, directly involved in combat in the police force, although not having expertise in journalism, still have quite high-quality entries. Some entries by authors working in the police of districts and towns show more attention to the task of propagating and implementing the Party's resolutions and directives at the grassroots level.
The People's Public Security press units continue to play a pioneering role in carrying out information and propaganda tasks, with many entries not only limited to the topic of the police force, but also mentioning the work of organizing cadres, the exemplary responsibility of leaders, the results of implementing directives and resolutions on socio-economic development; fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints... receiving wide public attention.
The Organizing Committee established a Jury consisting of leaders of press units inside and outside the People's Public Security force, to conduct scoring, selection and report to the Ministry's leaders to award 9 A prizes, 10 B prizes, and 13 C prizes.
