This morning, January 12, continuing the program of giving "Tet gifts to the poor" on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025, the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper presented Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances in Trieu Phong district. The program of giving “Tet gifts to the poor” is an annual activity, jointly implemented by Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund, VinGroup Corporation for many years in Quang Tri province. This year, in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund, VinGroup Corporation presented 257 gifts (each worth 600,000 VND) to people in difficult circumstances in the communes of Trieu Thanh, Trieu Ai, Trieu Trach, Trieu Tan (Trieu Phong district).

Holding the gift given by the program organizers, Mrs. Tran Thi Dien (83 years old) in Nai Cuu village, Trieu Thanh commune (Trieu Phong district) emotionally said: “I myself do not have a husband or children, and I am old and weak, so I often get sick. Every day, I hitchhike with villagers to the market in Quang Tri town, then wander around asking kind-hearted people for cans of rice and bunches of vegetables to survive. Today, receiving a gift from the program, I am very happy because it will help me have more expenses to cover my living expenses, and prepare for Tet more fully.”
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trieu Phong District, Tran Viet Dung, said that Trieu Phong District always pays attention to taking care of Tet for people in difficult circumstances in the district. Right from the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trieu Phong District has planned to mobilize resources from charitable organizations and individuals to contribute to the "For the Poor" Fund so that when Tet comes, spring comes, there will be gifts for policy families and families in difficult circumstances to have a warmer Tet.
In particular, in recent years, Quang Tri Newspaper has coordinated with Thien Tam Fund, VinGroup Corporation as well as organizations and individuals to donate thousands of Tet gifts to disadvantaged people in the province every time Tet comes and spring comes. Hopefully, in the coming years, Quang Tri Newspaper will continue to have many social security activities in Quang Tri province and Trieu Phong district to contribute to taking care of the poor during Tet and "leaving no one behind".
