On June 24, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that two precious paintings that used to hang in Can Chanh Palace (Hue Imperial City) and are currently at Hue University of Sciences will soon be returned to their original place.
These two precious paintings are two mirror paintings named Tri luu lien phang and Lang tap quan phuong.
According to Mr. Trung, after many negotiations with Hue University of Sciences, the two sides agreed to return the two precious paintings to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum for storage and preservation.
The center will send back to the school two mirror paintings restored identical to the two precious paintings mentioned above for the history department to hang and serve teaching purposes.
