The death anniversary was held solemnly and respectfully according to traditional rituals, to express infinite gratitude to the great mother who gave birth to and raised President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of National Liberation, World Cultural Celebrity.
At the 124th anniversary, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their respect, deep gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Hoang Thi Loan - a shining example of simplicity, deep loyalty, modesty, tolerance, compassion and sacrifice.
The delegates pledged to unite and strive to build an increasingly civilized and prosperous country; to protect, preserve and promote the priceless heritages of their homeland, family, childhood and the two visits of President Ho Chi Minh to his homeland.
Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan was born in the year of Mau Thin (1868) in Hoang Tru village, Chung Cu commune, Lam Thinh commune, Nam Duong district, Nghe An province (now Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province). She was born and raised in a Confucian family, but everyone directly participated in labor.

In 1883, Ms. Hoang Thi Loan married Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac. They had three patriotic children, the third of whom was Nguyen Sinh Cung, who later became President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese people.
In 1895, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan went to the capital Hue, making a living by weaving to support her husband's education and her young children. In the year Canh Ty (1900), she gave birth to a fourth child, Nguyen Sinh Xin, in a difficult and deprived situation.

While Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac was supervising the provincial examination in Thanh Hoa province, unfortunately at home, she fell seriously ill. Although her uncle Nguyen Sinh Cung and neighbors gave her medicine and treatment, due to her serious illness and poor health, on December 22, Canh Ty year (February 10, 1901), Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan breathed her last and entered the eternal world.
She was brought to her resting place by relatives, villagers and her uncle Nguyen Sinh Cung at Tam Tang mountain, part of Ngu Binh mountain range on the Huong River in Hue capital.

The life of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan is a shining example of simplicity, modesty, great sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, simple and noble lifestyle, and love of work. That is clearly reflected in the lives of her children later on, and most notably in President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of national liberation, outstanding cultural celebrity.
Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan influenced President Ho Chi Minh with a folk culture imbued with local identity and national traditions, honestly reflecting the aspirations, wishes and qualities of the working class.
Wherever she went, she demonstrated a pure, meaningful, and affectionate lifestyle, and was loved and respected by everyone. With the heart and sensitivity of a mother, she cultivated, shaped, and taught her children the first lessons about how to live, about morality in life, and about being human.

Previously, at Chung Son Temple (the temple worshiping President Ho Chi Minh's ancestors), leaders of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, his parents and his loved ones.
Attending the ceremony, the leaders of Ha Tinh province were: Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
