Also attending were comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Office and provincial departments, agencies and branches. The leaders of Military Region 4 Command had the participation of Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander of the Military Region and the delegation.

Also attending were the Ho Family Liaison Committee of Nghe An, Vinh City and Thai Lao, Hung Nguyen.

Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue was born in the year of Quy Dau (1753) in Kien Thanh hamlet, Tuy Vien prefecture, Quy Nhon district, now Phu Phong town, Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province.
His ancestors were originally from the Ho family, from Hung Nguyen, Nghe An, and after moving to Binh Dinh, they changed their family name to Nguyen. He was born in the context of the Trinh - Nguyen conflict, the North - South was divided, the people were miserable, and the country was devastated.

Faced with that situation, in 1771, he, along with Nguyen Nhac and Nguyen Lu, three brothers, raised the flag of uprising in Tay Son land. With his genius military strategy and the support of people everywhere, he commanded the Tay Son army to overthrow the Nguyen Lord in Dang Trong and the Trinh Lord in Dang Ngoai, creating conditions for the unification of the North and South.
In 1785, Nguyen Anh asked the Siamese army to intervene. He commanded the Tay Son army to destroy 50,000 invaders at Rach Gam, Xoai Mut, Tien Giang province.

In the context of the Tay Son forces being divided into three regions since mid-1786, "heaven's will followed man's will", on December 22, 1788 (November 25, Mau Than year), at the historic Ban mountain, Nguyen Hue built an altar to inform heaven and earth and held a coronation ceremony as Emperor, taking the reign name of Quang Trung year 1 and then ordered troops to march to the North to defeat 290,000 invading Qing troops, creating a resounding victory in the history of our nation's resistance against foreign invaders.

After eliminating internal and external enemies, the Tay Son Dynasty under the reign of Emperor Quang Trung took care of the country's economic, political, cultural, military and diplomatic revival.
On October 1, 1788, exactly 235 years ago, Emperor Quang Trung issued an edict to build the capital of Phuong Hoang in Yen Truong commune, Chan Loc district, at the foot of Dung Quyet mountain, now Trung Do ward, Vinh city; because "only establishing the capital in Nghe An is a balanced route, controlling the South and the North, and will make it convenient for people from all over to come and file lawsuits". This is also a land with "a spacious shape, bright weather, truly a beautiful place to establish the capital".

While the country was developing, peaceful and prosperous, on July 29, Nham Ty year (September 16, 1792), Emperor Quang Trung passed away at the age of 39, leaving behind endless sorrow for the Emperor's unfinished career.
Emperor Quang Trung died, Quang Toan ascended the throne, the Tay Son dynasty lasted a short time and then collapsed. Although it did not last long, the Tay Son dynasty left a bright mark in the tradition of fighting against foreign invaders throughout the history of building and defending the country of our nation, carving into the history of a thousand years of civilization, the heroic pages of a heroic nation.

That great cause belongs first of all to our people, our nation, but the historical role of Emperor Quang Trung - a hero in plain clothes, both literary and martial, a genius military man who had great merit in destroying internal enemies, defeating external invaders, unifying the country and expanding the territory. Our nation, our people will forever be proud and honor that outstanding hero.

The death anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung in preparation for the 60th anniversary of Vinh city's founding and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do is a special occasion to review the past and be proud of the tradition of generations of ancestors who have devoted so much effort, intelligence and passion to building the country and expanding its borders.
At the same time, inherit and promote the heroic tradition of the nation, of our ancestors, the achievements and results of the process of building and developing Vinh city in particular, Nghe An province in general.

“We believe that the Party Committee, government and people of the city will continue to unite, be creative and determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue to write new pages of history, and add more color to the glorious historical tradition of the country,” Comrade Tran Thi Cam Tu - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee affirmed in her memorial speech on the occasion of the 231st anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung's death.

At the ceremony, in a sacred and respectful atmosphere, with deep gratitude, the leaders of the province, departments, agencies and Vinh city, together with a large number of people and the Ho family respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their deep gratitude for the great contributions and great career of the hero Quang Trung; hoping that the spirit of the Emperor will bless the country with peace and prosperity, and that all people will unite to protect and develop the country; and that Nghe An province and Vinh city will develop more and more richly and civilizedly.
