This player is a familiar face in the Vietnamese 3-cushion billiards community, but the tournament in the Netherlands is the first time he has shone brightly at an international playground under the World Carom Billiards Federation (UMB) system and won his first medal (3rd place). Convincing victories over legends such as Torbjorn Blomdahl (round of 32), world number 1 Dick Jaspers (quarter-finals) and a brave competition with Frederic Caudron have made Thanh Tu a new "phenomenon". The 30-year-old player is expected to continue his momentum to compete brilliantly at the Seoul World Cup 2024.

3 Vietnamese players compete in the second qualifying round today ( November 5)

Of the three Vietnamese players on the field yesterday (November 4), only Nguyen Dinh Luan passed the first qualifying round of the 2024 Seoul World Cup. In the second qualifying round today (November 5), Dinh Luan will compete with Thon Viet Hoang Minh and Do Nguyen Trung Hau to seek a ticket to the third qualifying round.
