Cannes audience stood up and applauded for 7 minutes for Tran Anh Hung.

At the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, besides the film Inside the Golden Cocoon by Pham Thien An, the appearance of director Tran Anh Hung and the film crew The Passion of Dodin Bouffant also attracted attention.

The Passion of Dodin Bouffant is based on the characters and culinary inspirations from the book by food writer Marvel Rouff, set in 1885, the time when French cuisine was at its peak. The story revolves around chef Eugenie and gourmet guest Dodin Bouffant.

The two have worked together for two decades and gradually developed feelings for each other over time. They have created dishes full of passion, making the world's top chefs admire. The film features two French movie stars, Juliette Binoche and Benoit Magimel. In addition, 14-star Michelin chef Pierre Gagnaire will take on the role of culinary consultant for this project.
