Experience new technology at the Vietnam Military History Museum

Việt NamViệt Nam03/12/2024

The Vietnam Military History Museum has opened to the public since early November. With a large exhibition area of nearly 65,000 m2 of the main building, with more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures, the museum has applied the latest and most modern technologies in the field of projection and experience to increase interaction and experience for viewers.

Many young people were very excited to experience for the first time the space recreating the 12-day and night Dien Bien Phu campaign in the air in 1972. The 3D projection system, touch screen, and expanded virtual reality technology recreated the historic battle, with the MIG 21 aircraft, number 361 participating in the combat process and ending with the shooting down of the B52 aircraft.

As for the space to experience the liberation army's tank crashing into the Independence Palace on April 30, 1975, viewers wearing virtual reality glasses will feel like they are sitting in the cabin of that tank, witnessing the sacred moment of liberating the South and unifying the country.

With the experience of recreating the victory of our army in the Lo River battle in 1947, the cannon model is designed with a 1:1 ratio compared to reality. The sand table recreates the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign based on 3D Mapping technology, helping to show the battles at Him Lam hill, A1... with impressive smoke and fire effects. The technology team had to carefully calculate, plan content and design software for each specific story and space.

To spread the digital museum to many people who have not had the opportunity to visit in person or want to learn more about the museum, websites with audio, 3D, QR code scanning technology... have been thoroughly applied.
