Ho Chi Minh City organizes a series of activities to promote trade, investment and tourism in Japan.

The 6th Ho Chi Minh City - Hyogo Economic Forum 2024 will take place on May 16 at the Hyogo Prefectural Government Office. The forum will exchange information related to strategic economic cooperation towards sustainable development between Ho Chi Minh City and Hyogo Prefecture.

On May 17, the Conference “Promoting Investment Cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Japan” will take place in Osaka. The conference will provide businesses with the latest information related to specific mechanisms, policies and investment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City; promote and increase Japanese investment attraction in Ho Chi Minh City in areas that are Japan’s strengths such as transport infrastructure development, manufacturing industry, renewable energy, environment, high-tech healthcare ; and enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and key localities of Japan that have signed agreements on friendly and cooperative relations with Ho Chi Minh City.

The event “Ho Chi Minh City Day in Osaka, Japan” will be held from May 17 to 19, 2024. The event aims to create opportunities to introduce the image of Ho Chi Minh City, organize exhibitions to introduce key industrial products, products with the Gold brand, OCOP products, and unique products of the City to Japanese consumers; organize trade connections between the City's enterprises and Japanese distribution and import enterprises; promote tourism, perform national cultural and artistic performances, and introduce unique culinary culture of Vietnam, contributing to connecting people of the two countries.

On May 17-18, the series of activities also includes the program "Meeting and exchanging with the Vietnamese business community and the Vietnamese community in Osaka, Japan" and the program of the Workshop connecting trade between Ho Chi Minh City enterprises and Japanese distribution and import enterprises, organizing exhibition space, introducing products, promoting tourism, performing arts and culture and introducing culinary culture of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.

The series of trade, investment, tourism promotion activities and the event “Ho Chi Minh City Day in Osaka, Japan” within the framework of the working trip to Korea and Japan of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, aims to strengthen and develop cooperative relations between Ho Chi Minh City and key localities of Japan, contributing to improving the effectiveness of international economic integration, promoting rapid and sustainable economic development.
