(Dan Tri) - It is expected that in the second quarter, Ho Chi Minh City will auction 3 land lots in Thu Thiem, with a starting price of more than 5,000 billion VND. One of these land lots was successfully auctioned in 2021 but the business reneged on the deposit.
Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City - talked about the plan to auction 3 land lots in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, Thu Duc City, at the February economic and social meeting this morning (February 28).
Accordingly, the first 3 plots of land selected for auction are 1.2, 1.3 and 3.5, according to the new land price list, the expected auction price is more than 5,000 billion VND. The expected auction time is in the second quarter of this year.
Lot 3.5 in this auction has an area of over 6,400m2, and was one of the four lots that were successfully auctioned in 2021, but the enterprise later withdrew its deposit. Ho Chi Minh City plans to terminate the auctioned asset sale contract signed with the winning unit of the four lots, expected to be completed in June.

Also at the meeting this morning, Mr. Hoang Tung - Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee - said that this year, the locality is assigned to collect about 30,000 billion VND in budget. Of which, land use fees are about 15,000 billion VND, including land plots in the new urban area of Thu Thiem.
Regarding removing bottlenecks to unblock land resources, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Toan Thang said that documents have been issued to implement the 2024 Land Law.
The Department focuses on issuing certificates for commercial housing projects, and has handled 50 projects with over 49,000 apartments since the beginning of the year. Mr. Thang said that compared to previous progress, the shortened procedure time has helped many products to be brought to market, creating revenue for the budget.
Regarding real estate transactions, according to Mr. Thang, in the first two months of the year, the number of real estate purchase and sale records increased sharply, bringing in revenue of over VND1,500 billion, up 30% compared to last year. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City expects to collect over VND30,000 billion from removing obstacles in price appraisal work.
