(Dan Tri) - In the last days of March, many streets in Ho Chi Minh City were "dyed pink" by the color of pink trumpet flowers. Many passersby were attracted by the irresistible beauty of this thin-petaled flower.
In late March, many streets in Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Binh Khiem, Dien Bien Phu, Ham Nghi, Vo Van Kiet, To Huu, Nguyen Tat Thanh... were decorated with more colors by pink trumpet flowers. Pink trumpet flowers have been experimentally planted on some streets in the center of Ho Chi Minh City since 2009. Many people also compare them to the cherry blossoms of the South. Pink trumpet flowers grow in clusters of 10-20 flowers, are light pink when they first bloom and gradually become darker over time. The flowers are shaped like small bells.
At Dien Bien Phu roundabout (District 1), pink trumpet flowers are in full bloom, with fallen petals covering an entire corner of Nguyen Binh Khiem Street.
"Every year I wait for the pink trumpet tree at the corner of Dien Bien Phu roundabout to bloom to take pictures. The fallen petals cover the entire sidewalk, making it very poetic," said Ms. Thu Thuy (living in Thu Duc City).
Pink trumpet flowers prefer light and dry soil, only blooming in hot weather. Flowers bloom for 4-5 days and then fall off.
Normally, pink trumpet flowers bloom from February to the end of May. Originating from America, this flower is also known as pink bell flower. Pink trumpet flowers blooming on Ham Nghi Street (District 1) create an extremely romantic space.
Pink trumpet flowers "bloom" next to Bitexco building, a symbol of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to some people, the row of pink trumpet flowers on Vo Van Kiet Street (District 1) this year bloomed less and later than usual. Many young people also take advantage of the pink trumpet flower blooming season to capture lovely moments with this flower, which is likened to "cherry blossoms".
"I happened to pass by here and saw the beautiful pink trumpet trees, so my husband and I stopped to take pictures. The whole street was covered in flowers, reminding me of the feeling of walking on cherry blossom-filled streets in Da Lat," said Ms. Phan Truc Lam (35 years old, District 1). The season of pink trumpet flowers blooming is also a creative inspiration for many young people who love photography.
Walking under the pink trumpet trees will certainly be an interesting experience when setting foot in the city named after Uncle Ho on hot days like this.
