At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 80-year tradition of building, fighting, winning and growing of the Vietnam People's Army; watched the documentary film "80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army" and a report on the tradition of the armed forces with the theme "The Phan Rang - Thap Cham City People's Army continues the heroic history of 80 years of building, fighting, winning and growing of the heroic Vietnam People's Army".

Speaking at the ceremony, the Secretary of the City Party Committee congratulated the officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces, and hoped that the city's armed forces would promote the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, the tradition of "Loyalty, resilience, initiative, creativity - solidarity, determination to win" of the armed forces, continue to improve the overall quality, level and combat readiness to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period; focus on advising the Party committees and local authorities in performing local military and defense tasks, contributing to building Phan Rang - Thap Cham City into a smart, modern and civilized urban area.
