Accordingly, ITE HCMC 2024 will take place for three days from September 5 to 7, 2024 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
ITE HCMC 2024 Fair is organized by Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Airlines is the Diamond sponsor and official airline of the Fair.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2024 will mark an important step forward in the tourism development strategy.
The theme "Sustainable Tourism - Creating the Future" not only reflects the strategic vision of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry in the current context but also emphasizes the importance of tourism development.
"We not only consider Ho Chi Minh City or Vietnam as a tourist destination but also aim to develop this place into a major tourist connection point in the Asian region. Tourists can start their journey of experience seamlessly thanks to the close tourism connection between regions in the country and other destinations in the region," said Mr. Hoa.
The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also said that up to now, more than 450 exhibitors and 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories have confirmed their participation, expected to increase by more than 10% compared to 2023.
It is expected that during the three-day period, ITE HCMC 2024 will set up more than 10,000 business appointments.
ITE HCMC 2024 is expected to be a place to connect tourism associations and domestic tourism businesses, as well as create synergy to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism compared to other countries in the region when the international tourism market is growing strongly.
Participating in the ITE HCMC 2024 Fair will be major international travel corporations such as Flight Center Travel Group (Australia), Intrepid (Australia) - one of the 100 most influential companies in the world voted by TIME Magazine in 2023, Collette - the oldest travel company in the US with over 100 years of establishment, specializing in organizing luxury tours and Exim Tour of DERTour Group - the leading travel group in Europe...
In addition, within the framework of the event, the High-level Tourism Forum conference “NET ZERO Tourism - Creating the future” also took place.
