On March 25, the Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced the decision to fine Ha Do Medical Center (35B - 35C 3/2 Street, Ward 11, District 10) for a series of violations in medical examination and treatment activities.

The series of violations by Ha Do Medical Center include: Providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the operating license; Inadequate implementation of infection control measures at the facility; Incomplete posting of service prices; Advertising medical examination and treatment services lacking content about the scope of expertise stated in the operating license.

For this series of violations, Ha Do Medical Center was fined 144 million VND and had its operating license revoked for 4 months. In addition, the practice certificate of the person responsible for the facility's technical expertise was revoked for 2 months. It was forced to remove and delete advertisements for medical examination and treatment services that lacked content about the scope of professional activities stated in the operating license.

In addition to fining Ha Do Medical Center, the Department Inspectorate also penalized 3 individuals working there.

Specifically, Mr. Cao Huu Minh and Ms. Lam Thi Lat, both doctors practicing here, were each fined 11.5 million VND and had their practice certificates revoked for 3 months for a series of acts: Creating medical records but not recording them completely; Not recording medical records issued to outpatients; Prescribing medical examination and treatment services for personal gain.

Mr. Bui Tran Cong, a bachelor of laboratory testing at Ha Do Medical Center, was fined 2 million and had his practice certificate revoked for 2 months for creating a medical record but not recording it completely.

Previously, in March 2023, Ha Do Medical Center was also fined by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate for a series of violations in medical examination and treatment activities.

At this time, this facility violated the following errors: Providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the medical examination and treatment license; Correcting medical records to falsify information about medical examination and treatment; Not ensuring one of the following conditions after being granted a medical examination and treatment license for the form of organization as a general clinic; Advertising medical examination and treatment services lacking content about the scope of expertise stated in the medical examination and treatment license.

Due to the seriousness of the violation, Ha Do Medical Center was fined 200 million VND and forced to remove and delete the violating advertisements.

Or in January 2021, Ha Do Medical Center was also administratively fined 52 million VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health for: Collecting medical examination and treatment services at a higher price than the listed price; Incompletely posting medical examination and treatment service prices; Requiring patients to pay for medical examination and treatment costs that have not been publicly posted according to the provisions of law; Advertising special products, goods and services without the content being confirmed by a competent State agency.
