The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to recruit civil servants and public employees from excellent university graduates and young scientists in 2024. This is to supplement the civil servant team and create a source of cadres in state administrative agencies and public service units in the area.

Accordingly, in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City needs to recruit 14 civil servants and 5 officials who are excellent students and young scientists through selection. Round 1 of selection will consider the academic and research results (if any) of the candidates according to the criteria specified in Article 2 of Decree 140/2017.

Round 2 is an interview about the candidate's professional qualifications and skills. The interview lasts 30 minutes. The interview score is calculated on a 100-point scale.

Successful candidates must have an interview score of 50 points or more and will be considered in descending order until the recruitment quota is filled. In case two or more candidates have the same interview score for the last quota, the candidate with the higher overall academic score will be recruited.

In case it is still not possible to determine, the head of the agency or unit with the authority to recruit will decide on the successful candidate. Those who are not successful in the selection round will not have their selection results reserved for the next selection round.

Expected recruitment time is September 2024 at Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.

Candidates registering for the exam must meet the standards prescribed in Decree 140/2017.

In particular, students who graduated with honors from a university in or outside the country, are recognized as equivalent to a degree or certificate according to the provisions of law, have excellent academic and training results in all years of university study, and must be between the ages of 16 and 30 (at the time of application submission).

Also, meet one of the following criteria:

Won third prize or higher in one of the provincial-level excellent student selection competitions, won an Encouragement prize or higher in the national excellent student selection competitions, or a certificate of merit or higher in the international excellent student selection competitions, in one of the subjects of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences during high school.

Won third prize or higher in national or international Science and Technology competitions during high school or university.

Won third prize or higher in an individual Olympic competition in one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics, Information Technology, or other majors during university study, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training….

In addition, people with master's degrees, level I medical specialists, resident physicians, level I medical specialists in medicine and pharmacy, and people with doctoral degrees, level II medical specialists, level II medical specialists in medicine and pharmacy are also eligible to participate in the contest but must meet certain standards of the contest.
