Ha Tinh City planted nearly 5,000 coconut trees in Dong Ghe ecological area.

It is expected that in the first quarter of 2024, Ha Tinh City will plant nearly 5,000 coconut trees in Dong Ghe area (Thach Ha commune). This is a type of tree that both creates a landscape and brings economic value.

This time, 500 coconut trees were newly planted on both sides of the road in the Dong Ghe aquaculture area. Through the process of research and testing, coconut trees are suitable for the climate and soil conditions of this area, which tend to be brackish. Coconut trees both create ecological landscapes and bring economic value.

The agencies mobilized more than 80 officials, civil servants, and workers to focus on planting and caring for trees according to technical procedures.

It is known that in the first quarter of 2024, Ha Tinh City will strive to plant nearly 5,000 coconut trees in Dong Ghe area. In 2024, the city plans to plant 25 - 30,000 new trees of all kinds, focusing on ecological areas. The funding source will come from the city budget and from social mobilization.

The goal of Ha Tinh City is to plant more than 100,000 new trees in the area before 2025 to protect the ecological environment, improve the landscape and respond to climate change, improve the quality of life of people and develop sustainably in the area according to the set plan. Accumulated from 2020 to now, the number of trees planted in the area is more than 95,200.
