In 2024, Ha Long City has deployed and organized the comprehensive completion of the National Defense and Security tasks, including many tasks that were completed well and excellently such as: Combat readiness, training, and exercises; land and defense works management; mobilization, military recruitment, enrollment, on-site logistics, mass mobilization, military rear policies, etc.
The militia and self-defense forces are regularly reviewed and improved in terms of organization and staffing, and political quality is improved; the reserve forces are strictly registered and managed, and mobilization and inspection and training are carried out according to the staffing.
