Ha Long City: Efforts to resolve voters' petitions

With strong direction, the work of resolving voters' petitions in Ha Long City has been effectively implemented, meeting the requirements and aspirations of the people.

Through meetings with voters of Ha Long City People's Council delegates, many contents related to areas of economic and social life such as: Construction investment, land, site clearance, environment, planning... have been sent opinions and recommendations by voters of the city. The most specific evidence is that at the 19th Session, Ha Long City People's Council, term II, 2021-2026 (end of 2023), 34 recommendations from voters were sent.

Receiving the content of voters' petitions, the People's Committee of Ha Long City issued a document clearly assigning responsibilities to agencies and units responsible for handling them. As of July 2024, 32/34 voters' petitions have been answered, explained, and informed to voters.

The recommendations were directed by the People's Committee of Ha Long City to be resolved and have specific results, such as: Clarifying the origin of land use of aquaculture households affected by the Ha Long Green Urban Complex project; granting land use right certificates to some households in Group 12, Zone 4, Gieng Day Ward; clarifying the content of sponsoring children in difficult circumstances; clarifying the place of initial medical examination and treatment for people in Zone 6, Ha Tu Ward...

Along with that, the recommendations were directed by the People's Committee of Ha Long City to clarify, explain and specifically inform voters, such as: Building an additional row of classrooms and building a new restroom for the School. Hung Thang Secondary School ; upgrading and renovating the Ha Long - Pha Lai railway; information on compensation and support for Dai Yen Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Production and Business Cooperative; waste collection and treatment and policies for daily waste collectors according to the recommendations of voters of Ha Trung ward; clearly explaining the investment project for a storm shelter for boats and ships combined with a fishing port in Ha Phong ward or planning tourist spots in Ky Thuong commune; planning resettlement areas to serve the site clearance work of projects and works in Dong Lam and Ky Thuong communes...

From the results of receiving and resolving voters' recommendations above, it can be seen that in recent times, the Ha Long City People's Council has made many improvements and innovations in the issuance of resolutions to ensure feasibility and suitability to reality. The supervision activities of the People's Councils at all levels continue to be innovated, with a focus on supervising emerging issues in social life that are of interest to a large number of voters and people. The Ha Long City People's Committee has paid attention to, issued directive documents, assigned tasks and assigned specific responsibilities to agencies and units participating in resolving voters' recommendations; the People's Committees of communes and wards have actively deployed and implemented the resolution of voters' opinions and recommendations within the authority assigned by the City People's Committee.

The contents resolved and answered basically focused on issues that voters were interested in, some recommendations were resolved, and voters were informed in a complete and reasonable manner. The reception, study and resolution of recommendations from Ha Long City have contributed to removing many difficulties and obstacles, promoting socio-economic development; stabilizing the situation of social order and security, improving people's lives, and creating trust for voters and people in the city.
