Dien Bien Phu City deploys tasks for the 2024 school year

Authorized by the President, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Chairman of Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee , awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to the collectives of the city's Education and Training sector.

In the last school year, the Education sector of Dien Bien Phu City has effectively reviewed and rearranged the scale of schools, classes, and students according to the roadmap, increasing the number of students/class to reduce the number of classes. Thereby, reducing the need to add more people to work in public service units. The targets for mobilizing the school-age population continued to increase compared to the previous school year, reaching and exceeding the plan assigned by the Provincial and City People's Committees. The sector continued to innovate preschool and generaleducation in the direction of developing learners' qualities and capacities. The quality of comprehensive education was maintained, the quality of key education was increasingly improved. The rate of children with normal height development accounted for 98.3%; children with stunted malnutrition accounted for 1.7%, down 4.7% compared to the plan assigned by the province. The rate of class transfer of students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 reached 99.8%; completion of primary school program reached 100%; 99.8% of secondary school students transferred to new classes; 100% of secondary school students graduated...

In the past school year, the sector continued to maintain and improve the quality of schools that met national standards and educational quality standards; maintained and improved the component indicators of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, level 2 illiteracy eradication, and level 3 universal primary and secondary education throughout the city. Along with that, the sector mobilized resources, promoted the socialization of education, invested in, repaired, and supplemented school facilities in the direction of solidification. Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Van Doat awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals of the Education and Training sector of Dien Bien Phu City.

In the new school year 2024 - 2025, the Education sector of Dien Bien Phu City has identified the theme: "Discipline, responsibility, innovation, improving the quality of education and training". The sector has identified 10 key tasks and implementation solutions. In particular, focusing on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of education; developing the network of schools and classes, mobilizing the school-age population, ensuring equitable access to education for all subjects; improving the quality of preschool education, general education and continuing education...

On this occasion,the President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 2 collectives; the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 individual. The Provincial People's Committee awarded the title of Excellent Labor Collective to 10 collectives; awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 8 individuals. The Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year. The People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives and 19 individuals with outstanding achievements in activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory by the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien Phu City.
