After more than 2 months of launching (from June 3 to August 15), the permanent unit of the Award, the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development (Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union), received 69 nominations from 39 agencies, units, universities, research institutes, enterprises nationwide and Embassies, Youth and Student Associations of Vietnam abroad.
Among them, there is 1 associate professor, 49 PhDs, 14 masters and 6 bachelors. Candidates under 30 years old account for 17.7%; the youngest candidate was born in 2002 (22 years old, in the field of New Materials Technology). There are 12 candidates studying, researching and working abroad.
The Award Council held its first meeting, selecting 20 nominations with outstanding achievements, patents, utility solutions and many high-quality international publications in the Q1 category along with a series of domestic and international awards and medals.

From the above 20 profiles, the Council will hold its second meeting in mid-October 2024 to select the 10 most outstanding faces, nominating the Central Youth Union to award the Golden Globe Award in 2024.
The Golden Globe Science and Technology Award is chaired by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, annually to discover and honor outstanding young talents under 35 years old, typical in studying and scientific research in 5 fields: Information technology, digital transformation and automation; Medical and pharmaceutical technology; Biotechnology; Environmental technology and New materials technology.
