According to the district's report, by October 31, 2024, the local budget capital entrusted by the District People's Committee to the Bank for Social Policies for lending to poor households and policy beneficiaries reached 65,762 million VND, an increase of 8,609 million VND compared to the beginning of the year, completing 122.98% of the annual plan. The growth capital was promptly disbursed to poor households and policy beneficiaries, effectively supporting people to develop production, escape poverty sustainably and enrich themselves legitimately.
By October 31, 2024, the total outstanding debt of credit programs in Trang Bom district reached VND 520,660 million with 12,131 poor households and policy beneficiaries still having outstanding debt, an increase of VND 57,050 million compared to the beginning of the year, the growth rate reached 12.31%, completing 99.7% of the plan.
Currently, the average outstanding debt of a commune-level unit is 30,627 million VND; the average outstanding debt of a Savings and Credit Group is 2,074 million VND and the average outstanding debt of a customer is 42.9 million VND. The total outstanding debt of credit programs in Giang Dien commune is 27,986 million VND, an increase of 3,890 million VND compared to the beginning of the year, with 579 poor households and policy beneficiaries still having outstanding debt.
In the first 10 months of 2024, social policy credit capital in Trang Bom district has created conditions to help 4,335 poor households and other policy beneficiaries borrow VND 183,527 million to organize production and business, serve essential needs, create more jobs, improve income and living conditions.
Thereby, it has contributed, together with solutions from all levels and sectors, to maintaining and creating new jobs for 1,779 workers; helping 2,007 rural households build and renovate 2,007 clean water works and 2,000 toilet works; 386 students in difficult circumstances borrowed capital to cover their studies; 156 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty borrowed capital to organize production and business.
Social policy credit capital has actively contributed with all levels and sectors in implementing national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, ensuring social security, social order and safety and socio-economic development in the district.
At the meeting, the General Director requested that the Board of Directors of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Trang Bom District continue to do a good job of advising the Party Committee and the government in directing the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit and Directive No. 39-CT/TW dated October 30, 2024 of the Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period.
In particular, focusing on advising and strengthening the direction of the implementation of the work of consolidating and improving credit quality, quality of entrusted activities, and quality of savings and credit groups. At the same time, based on the locality's request for capital needs for loans to support job creation, job maintenance and expansion programs, the General Director has paid attention and prioritized allocating 20 billion VND to Trang Bom district to meet the needs of production and business, economic development, stabilizing life, rising up to escape poverty sustainably, and improving the living standards of people in the district.
