Since the night of September 7, as soon as the wind had subsided, the recovery work in the northern provinces has been urgently carried out. On the morning of September 8, the northern power grid in the provinces where the storm passed through was still extremely chaotic, especially in the two provinces of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong - the most heavily affected places where the exact damage figures have not yet been calculated.

Regarding the 110kV grid, the provincial power companies have restored some assets to put them into operation. As of 6:30 this morning, the entire North was operating 275/353 substations and 561/650 110kV transmission lines, of which Quang Ninh Power Company has restored 5 substations and 7 transmission lines; Hai Phong Power Company has restored 12 substations and 6 transmission lines. There are no official figures for the medium and low voltage grid systems.

In the three provinces of Nam Dinh, Ha Nam , and Ninh Binh, 110 kV substations are operating stably; all drainage pumping stations have been supplied with electricity and are operating to drain the flood; the central areas of the city and districts have been supplied with electricity.

Currently, Ha Nam still has a small part of Chau Son, Dong Van, Hoa Mac industrial zones without electricity and is expected to be reconnected this afternoon; the entire IT infrastructure is operating stably, some of the problem fiber optic cables have had Rings put in to support so they are operating normally.

Regarding medium voltage output lines, Ninh Binh has closed 100%; Nam Dinh has 8 lines left; Ha Nam has 21 lines left. Units are reviewing and striving to close 100% today.

The District Party Committee/District People's Committee headquarters and hospitals have had their power restored. Currently, 9/24 pumping stations have been powered up and are operational. The company is focusing on prioritizing the re-powering of pumping stations as soon as possible.
