Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs Luu Manh Tuong has just signed and issued Document No. 4446/TCHQ-QLRR, on risk control for enterprises temporarily suspended from chemical import activities.

The document stated that recently, the General Department of Customs has received feedback on the control of information related to the notice of temporary suspension of chemical imports from a number of local Customs Departments according to the provisions of Decree No. 71/2019/ND-CP dated August 30, 2019 of the Government.
To ensure coordination in management and strict risk control for cases of temporary suspension of chemical import activities, the General Department of Customs requests the Customs Departments of provinces and cities to perform the following tasks:
The unit issuing the notice of suspension of chemical import activities must notify the Customs Departments of provinces and cities to know and coordinate implementation according to regulations, and at the same time send it to the professional units under the General Department of Customs for handling according to functions and tasks.
After receiving the above information, the Customs Departments of provinces and cities are responsible for directing their subordinate Customs Sub-Departments to control the procedures of enterprises during the period of suspension of chemical import activities.
Customs Departments of provinces and cities are required to seriously implement and thoroughly grasp the above contents.
