Northern Power Corporation mobilizes troops to support Quang Ninh and Hai Phong to restore power grid

On September 8, the Power Companies under the Northern Power Corporation mobilized all resources to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 and quickly restore power to customers as soon as possible.

According to statistics from the Northern Power Corporation, as of 5:00 p.m. on September 8, 2024, the entire Corporation has restored power to more than 2.9 million customers. However, there are still about 2.5 million customers in isolated, flooded areas who have not been able to access power. Of which, Quang Ninh currently has more than 300,000 customers who have not had power restored.

Shock teams of the Northern Power Corporation set out to support Quang Ninh in fixing power grid problems.

To support localities whose power grids were severely affected by storm No. 3, on the night of September 8, the Northern Power Corporation established 38 "shock teams" with a total of 413 officers and technical workers from 13 units under the Corporation (Northern Power Service Company (NPSC) and the following power companies: Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Cao Bang, Ha Tinh, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Vinh Phuc, Bac Kan , Lai Chau, to work to support the repair of power grids severely affected by storm No. 3, including Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city.
