"Even if I don't love anyone, I can still live"
In the show "Have a sip", rapper Karik rarely shares his views on love and career at the present time.
Accordingly, Karik admitted that in the past three years, he felt that his thinking and personality had changed a lot. In particular, to him, love is very important, but at the present time, he no longer pursues it like before.

"I don't take it too seriously anymore. I don't keep looking for love. Before, sometimes I was the one actively looking for love. Sometimes that constant searching made me tired, even depressed.
When life changes, I realize that some things are better if they come naturally. Even if I don't love anyone, I can still live," Karik confided.
Explaining this change, the rapper said that at this time, he realized that love comes and goes, then leaves us with lessons. He doesn't want to be stubborn about it, because in the end, the one who gets hurt is still him.
Sharing more about his own changes, the Rap Viet coach expressed: "In the past, I didn't focus much on my health. I ate and drank carelessly, liked to dress colorfully, talked hastily... Activities such as entertainment, health, and family didn't have specific times.
Now, I want to balance everything out. Not for any purpose, simply because I feel happier."
Regarding family life, Karik revealed that his parents' relationship is more harmonious than before. He is happy to see that the two no longer quarrel like before. He also always receives sharing and support from his parents and siblings in the family.
"I am happy with my current life. My family gives me a spiritual foundation. Therefore, I feel rich. I am rich in lessons. That helps me be more confident when I step out into life. In love and friendship, I also feel that I have more to give to others.
I'm very afraid of myself when I'm sad and negative. At that time, I have nothing to give, even though I'm there for them. That's not okay," the rapper expressed.
Currently, the rapper wants love to come more naturally and not stubbornly like before.
No longer "manipulated" by million-view MVs
In 2022, Karik revealed for the first time that he had suffered from bipolar disorder (also known as mood disorder) - a mental illness for more than 12 years.
At that time, he said he was very sensitive to the attitudes of strangers towards him at the present time. When faced with criticism, he tended to withdraw. That was the reason why the male rapper often turned off his personal social networking page because he felt it was not a comfortable place for his emotions.
In the program "Have a sip", he said he had seen a psychologist twice. But this syndrome has no cure, he had to adjust and balance everything himself.
"Up to now, I still live with it (bipolar disorder - PV) and I feel fine. At my current age, there are naturally things I desire less, less assert. Small things will make me less tired, my mood is also less affected," the male rapper expressed.

This thought also seems to affect his perspective on making music. Currently, Karik says he is no longer "manipulated" by the ambition of having MVs with hundreds of millions of views. What he worries about most is whether his products are new enough and reach the audience.
When he was still ambitious about MVs reaching hundreds of millions of views, the male rapper thought that a song needed to have a viral line or catchy melody to touch the hearts of listeners, while what the audience wanted to receive was the artist's story.
Karik admits that he is not good at techniques or theories, but he says he has an advantage in conveying his message to the audience clearly. He does not want listeners to have to listen to it over and over again, analyze it or read subtitles, but just listen to it once and immediately understand his story.
This is his point of view to his students at Rap Viet: "You can freely follow trends or learn from rappers around the world. But never lose your identity, because that is the strongest weapon to compete with others."
Karik's real name is Pham Hoang Khoa, the owner of many famous songs such as: "Two Worlds", "I Don't Ask for Gifts"...
Many songs with Karik's participation became hits, creating a launching pad for many young singers such as: "Nguoi la oi" (Orange), "Tat ca tai anh" (Emma)...
He has been a coach for Rap Viet for two consecutive seasons, leading his students Seachains to victory in 2022. At Rap Viet 2024, he continues to take on the role of coach.
