The extended Le Quang Dao Street is one of the key projects of Hanoi. The route plays a role in connecting the two districts of Nam Tu Liem and Ha Dong. Currently, the project has reached nearly 80% progress and is expected to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 2024).
The extended Le Quang Dao Street is over 2.6 km long, with a total investment of over 740 billion VND. Of which, the site clearance cost over 163 billion VND, construction and installation cost over 542 billion VND and some other costs.
The starting point connects with Le Quang Dao Street and Thang Long Avenue (in Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District).
According to the design, the route will have inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h. The typical cross-section of the road is 40m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section width of 100m. Recorded on the morning of August 26, about 1km of the first route from Thang Long Avenue to Dai Linh Street (Me Tri Ward) has been completed.
This road section is paved with stone sidewalks, asphalt pavement, trees, lighting system and fire fighting water supply system...
Flowers are planted between the median strip.
The end point of the route connects with the existing route at Duong Noi (Ha Dong), creating a smooth traffic axis, reducing the load on To Huu and Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu routes.
Currently, the remaining section from Sa Doi Street to the end of the route is still messy, the road surface structure is not complete.
According to research, the heavy rain has greatly affected the construction work.
To ensure drainage, the sewer system is designed with a large diameter, running throughout the road, and also collecting water from branch lines.
On the route, there is also a bridge over the Nhue River whose main structures have been completed.
A worker working here said that on rainy days, workers cannot construct the roadbed structure and can only focus on safety and sidewalk items.
The project is expected to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 2024).
