Seminar on promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building and developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity

On the afternoon of September 20, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission held a seminar to promote the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building and developing the culture and people rich in Quang Ninh's identity in the locality, especially in ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands. Comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired and conducted the seminar.

Implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee "on building and promoting cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous source and driving force for rapid and sustainable development" (referred to as Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU) and the Working Theme for 2024, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province have made great efforts in implementing the goals, tasks and solutions identified in Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU, especially in ethnic minority areas.

Initial implementation achieved some positive results such as: Propaganda and dissemination of the Resolution, the annual working theme, the value system of Quang Ninh province, and the value of Quang Ninh people were widely deployed, creating a spread among cadres, party members, union members, association members and people; many models, activities of propaganda, education, orientation, organization for cadres, union members, association members and people of all walks of life to actively participate in preserving and promoting the cultural identity and people of the locality in particular and Quang Ninh in general through many rich and diverse forms; patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, especially the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" were widely deployed...

However, the implementation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is still confusing and unsynchronized, the progress is slow, and the specific results are unclear, especially in ethnic minority, border and island areas.

Leaders of Ba Che district expressed their opinions on the locality's actions in building and developing the culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity for ethnic minorities.

At the seminar, delegates spent most of their time focusing on discussing a number of contents: The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU; solutions to innovate propaganda and mobilization work, innovate patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; difficulties, inadequacies and obstacles in the process of implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU...

Most delegates said that currently, traditional cultural values, especially languages, some good customs and practices, costumes, folk songs, etc., are at risk of being lost. The work of collecting and preserving tangible and intangible cultural values has been carried out but is not commensurate with the depth of cultural traditions in the area. State resources invested in the field of preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities are still limited.

Discussing solutions to implement Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU to achieve the set goals, delegates suggested that it is necessary to raise awareness and responsibility of heads of Party committees and organizations, heads of agencies and units, and each cadre and Party member in implementing culture in the Party and political system. At the same time, it is necessary to assign specific tasks to mass organizations; there should be innovations in propaganda work such as organizing communication conferences to grassroots localities...

Concluding the discussion, comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, affirmed: Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee sets out 18 specific target groups and 5 groups of tasks and key solutions for implementation. In which, the first task and solution identified by the Provincial Party Committee is: Continuing to strengthen the leadership of the Party, promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building and promoting the cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh. This shows that the Provincial Party Committee highly values the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building and promoting the cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh.
