Attending the Seminar were members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Digital Transformation Steering Committee, leaders and officers in charge of digital transformation of units within the Ministry.
Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Do Hoang Linh, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is accelerating the process of implementing digital transformation in its direction and administration, including the implementation of Decision No. 17/QD-UBQGCĐS dated April 4, 2023 of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation issued the Action Plan of the National Committee on Digital Transformation in 2023, setting out the task of 2023 as "The Year of Digital Data, creating and exploiting data to create new values".
Currently, units in the Ministry have a lot of specialized data that is being exploited, managed and used, but there is no shared data because this data is scattered in different software and information systems.
In the coming time, the Ministry will review and issue a List of databases of the Foreign Affairs sector; clearly identify which databases can be connected and shared with national databases, which databases are only for internal use, so that there is a plan to deploy a platform for analyzing and processing synthetic data, with artificial intelligence applications to optimize operations in direction and administration.

At the Seminar, delegates listened to Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha, Director of Data Analysis, Data Science Enterprise Solutions Corporation, Viettel Group and Viettel experts discuss the necessity of building a shared database for agencies and organizations as well as the capacity and experience of Viettel Group in building a database development strategy.
Experts also exchanged experiences and proposed references in building, managing, and exploiting databases to create new values for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Also at the meeting, representatives of units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also discussed and Viettel experts advised on: the purpose of building the database, the method of building and the strategy for building the Ministry's database...
Through the discussion, the officers in charge of digital transformation of the Ministry realized the importance of building a database, visualized more specifically the specific tasks that need to be done by their units and the Ministry, from which they can connect, share, analyze, exploit, apply database warehouses, smart data exploitation measures through artificial intelligence... to serve the direction and operation of the Ministry.
