(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of August 19, at the Event Organization Center – Hai Dang Tourism Group, the Hai Phong Journalists Association held a seminar on “Press propaganda, promotion, connection, and development of tourism in the Red River Delta”. Attending the seminar were Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and representatives of leaders of Departments, branches, press units of the city and Journalists Associations of provinces and cities in the Red River Delta.

Speaking at the Seminar, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam said that the provinces and cities in the Red River Delta have many potential advantages in terms of historical relics as well as scenic spots. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the active participation of the Hai Phong City Journalists Association as well as the provinces and cities in the region to organize the Seminar, aiming to promote propaganda and promotion so that not only domestic friends but also international tourists know the good values of the localities. Through this, he hopes that the units will create connections and build many tours connecting the provinces and cities to contribute to attracting tourists to visit not only their localities but also to the provinces and cities in the region.

The Red River Delta consists of 11 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh. This is known as the land of "geomantic people", with many advantages in terms of geopolitics, geo-economics, geo-culture and many great potentials and advantages, outstanding for rapid and sustainable economic, cultural and social development, especially developing tourism into a key economic sector with diverse and unique products, associated with promoting the value of the Red River civilization.
In the area, there are many world heritages recognized by UNESCO such as: Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh); Central relic site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel - Hanoi, stone steles of the doctoral examinations of the Le - Mac dynasties, Giong Festival at Phu Dong Temple, Soc Temple (Hanoi); Ca Tru and Quan Ho Bac Ninh. In addition, Ha Long Bay is also recognized by the New7Wonders Organization as a new natural wonder of the world, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign tourists.

In Resolution No. 30-NQ/TW dated November 23, 2022, the Politburo directed to focus on linking the tourism industry with different sectors and fields in the tourism product value chain; continue to invest in developing national tourist areas in the region, striving to attract over 120 million visitors by 2030. At the same time, research and promulgate incentive mechanisms and policies to build the Hai Phong - Quang Ninh region into a modern, international, leading maritime economic center in Southeast Asia, a gateway and driving force for development of the region...

At the Seminar, representatives of the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities in the region and leaders of the city's press agencies contributed many quality presentations, shared information, promoted the potential and strengths of tourism in localities and an overview of regional tourism, in order to do a good job of propaganda, promotion, and connection for tourism development in the Red River Delta, contributing to concretizing the propaganda task according to Resolution No. 30-NQ/TW dated November 23, 2022 of the Politburo.
