Quang Tri province has 150 production linkage models according to value chain.

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, with the goal of increasing added value per unit of production area associated with promoting a sustainable growth model, in recent times, models and projects linking "4 houses" and "5 houses" have been focused on and implemented synchronously in many agricultural production areas of the province.

Cooperatives have been proactive and active in organizing synchronous production, applying science and technology, creating large-scale commodity production areas.

Up to now, the whole province has had 150 models of production and product consumption linkage between enterprises and cooperatives, cooperative groups and producers in the area, including: 65 models of cooperatives, 8 models of cooperative groups, 60 models of farms and 17 models of small enterprises and households.

Agricultural products produced according to the linked value chain are mainly the province's key products with more than 1,200 hectares of rice, 1,000 hectares of coffee, 1,000 hectares of pepper, 300 hectares of medicinal herbs, 100 hectares of passion fruit and 64 livestock processing farms...

The models and projects have created a widespread movement of commodity production in the community, improving the management and production organization capacity of cooperative and cooperative management teams, creating a foundation for innovating production organization methods in the new period, contributing to promoting agricultural restructuring towards efficiency and sustainability.

However, according to the assessment of the agricultural sector, despite achieving positive results, the area of ​​linkage and the quantity of agricultural and aquatic products consumed through linkage are still quite modest, not fully exploiting the inherent potential and strengths, and not creating motivation for production.

This is also the main cause of the situation of "good harvest, low price", as well as the failure to promote the role of "4 houses": farmers, the State, businesses, and scientists for sustainable agricultural development.

Therefore, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct departments, branches and localities to base on the provincial planning to deploy large-scale production zones/areas, invest in infrastructure to serve production, and attract businesses to invest in production linkages associated with processing.

Strengthen trade promotion activities, call for and create favorable conditions to attract businesses to invest in agriculture linked to the value chain, invest in processing and consuming agricultural products in the area. At the same time, coordinate with the agricultural sector to maintain and replicate effective models, projects and programs that have been implemented.
